How we started
Our journey started during a breakfast meeting between our CEO, Thru Shivakumar, and Raj Gupta, the Executive Chairman of ESD. Their conversation sparked the idea of a technology that could bridge the gap between tenant applications and legacy building systems. They believed a building that was flexible, responsive, and data-driven could open real opportunities to optimize operations and create value. Six months later, that idea became Cohesion, a spin-off from a mechanical engineering company.
Since then, Cohesion has become the platform CRE and enterprise teams turn to when they want more from their operations and assets. Industry priorities keep shifting: hybrid work, building health, environmental sustainability, CRE workforce automation. Our platform keeps the built environment ready for whatever comes next.
