Monroe Capital, a premier asset management firm based in Chicago, was preparing to move into a new office at 155 N Wacker Drive with less than 25 days before occupancy. The firm saw the move as an opportunity to modernize workplace access, strengthen security, streamline operations, and deliver a premium, frictionless employee experience. Reliance on physical keycards had created inefficiencies, security risks, and added administrative overhead, including managing credentials across multiple systems. Monroe needed a unified, faster, and more secure solution that could integrate the new building’s base system with their tenant system, without disrupting daily operations, all while still meeting strict compliance requirements.

Solution

Cohesion implemented a fully integrated digital wallet access solution, connecting the building’s HID and C-Cure instances with the tenant LenelS2 Netbox system. Cohesion’s Cloud Access Portal ensured full real-time bidirectional data sync between all these systems, including connecting to Azure/Entra ID for single sign-on. Employees can now instantly download and activate credentials on their mobile devices with Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, eliminating the need for physical cards or multiple credentials.

Real-time provisioning reduced onboarding from hours to minutes and provided Monroe with centralized control, consistent policy enforcement, and comprehensive audit trails across both the building and tenant systems.
