About the Position
We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to support client implementations, implementation operations, data analysis, and technical solution delivery. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role for someone who can organize complex implementations, work directly with data, improve internal implementation tooling, and translate technical information into clear actions for clients and internal teams. The role works across Implementation, Engineering, Product, Data, Customer Success, and Sales. From time to time, this person will also support product demonstrations and technical discovery as a sales engineering resource. The ideal candidate is comfortable moving between project execution, data investigation, client communication, and technical problem-solving. This is a full-time, hybrid position based at Cohesion's headquarters in Chicago. Employees in this role work from the office three days per week, Tuesday through Thursday. The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.
What you will do
Technical Program and Implementation Management
- Support client implementations from post-signature kickoff through go-live and stabilization.
- Build and maintain implementation plans, milestone schedules, technical workstreams, decision logs, risk registers, and status reporting.
- Coordinate delivery activities across Engineering, Product, Data, Integrations, Customer Success, Support, and third-party vendors.
- Translate customer requirements into clear technical tasks, configuration requirements, data requirements, and implementation deliverables.
- Identify project risks, technical dependencies, data gaps, resource constraints, and decisions that could affect scope, timing, or quality.
- Facilitate customer working sessions, internal delivery meetings, technical reviews, testing checkpoints, and go-live readiness reviews.
- Support integration testing, user acceptance testing, data validation, cutover planning, and post-launch issue resolution.
- Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding progress, risks, issues, decisions, and next steps.
Data Analysis, Validation, and Reporting
- Analyze building, occupancy, utilization, access control, system performance, operational, and implementation data.
- Use SQL and structured datasets to investigate data quality issues, integration behavior, implementation problems, and client questions.
- Validate that data received from building systems and third-party platforms is complete, accurate, and aligned with expected real-world behavior.
- Identify anomalies, missing records, inconsistent mappings, duplicate data, and other issues that could affect implementation or reporting outcomes.
- Support data mapping, transformation, reconciliation, and validation activities during client implementations.
- Create dashboards, visualizations, and executive-ready analyses that explain findings, assumptions, limitations, and recommended actions.
- Work within Cohesion's Databricks environment and collaborate with data engineering resources to access, validate, analyze, and interpret data.
Implementation Tooling and Process Improvement
- Develop and maintain tools, templates, documentation, and workflows that improve implementation consistency, visibility, and efficiency.
- Identify repeatable implementation activities that can be standardized, automated, or supported through internal tooling.
- Partner with Engineering and Product to define requirements for implementation utilities, configuration tools, monitoring capabilities, and administrative workflows.
- Improve how integration requirements, configuration data, data mappings, testing results, and deployment readiness are collected and tracked.
- Develop implementation dashboards and reporting that provide visibility into project health, delivery risk, data readiness, testing progress, and launch status.
- Use Monday.com and other internal systems to maintain accurate implementation records and portfolio-level reporting.
Sales Engineering and Product Demonstrations
- Support technical discovery sessions with prospective clients and partners when implementation, integration, or data expertise is required.
- Participate in product demonstrations, particularly when discussions involve integrations, analytics, technical architecture, or implementation approach.
- Help Sales translate customer requirements into preliminary technical approaches, implementation assumptions, and areas requiring further discovery.
- Develop data-driven examples, technical narratives, and demonstration scenarios that reflect prospective customer use cases.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to business, operational, and executive audiences while maintaining realistic delivery expectations.
Required Qualifications

- Working knowledge of SQL and the ability to independently query, validate, and analyze structured datasets.
- Experience working with relational databases and identifying data quality issues or discrepancies across systems.
- Familiarity with APIs, data mappings, file-based integrations, system-to-system workflows, and integration testing.
- Experience with visualization or business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Databricks dashboards, or similar platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholder groups in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong judgment and attention to detail, with the ability to recognize when project status, system behavior, or data does not align with expectations.
