About the Position
We are seeking a creative and digitally savvy Digital Advertising Intern this summer, ideally based in our Chicago office, although we are open to a remote candidate. This person will report to the Director of Marketing, and will gain valuable experience in designing and optimizing B2B ads for social media. Time Commitment: 10-12 week internship, part-time or full-time Compensation: $3,000 stipend or Master's Program capstone/internship credit
What you will do
- Learn how to design, test, and optimize LinkedIn advertising campaigns and associated landing pages with guidance from our marketing team.
- Learn how to write, test, and optimize nurture email and drip campaigns with guidance from our marketing team.
- Develop ad creative using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, and contribute to the visual direction of campaigns.
- Collaborate on cross-functional marketing initiatives, from social media content to landing page experiences.
- Participate in team brainstorms, reporting sessions, and campaign planning to understand how digital advertising supports larger business goals.
- Receive mentorship and regular feedback as you grow your skills in campaign execution, audience targeting, and creative strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field OR at least 2 years of relevant experience
- Experience with paid media platforms (especially LinkedIn Ads) and knowledge of digital ad formats, remarketing, nurturing, and targeting strategies
- Familiarity with SEO tools and tactics (e.g., keyword research, meta descriptions, content optimization)
- Proficiency in graphic design and ad creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma)
- Strong written communication skills and ability to tailor messaging for different channels and audiences
- Analytical mindset with an understanding of basic performance metrics (CTR, CPC, conversions, etc.)
- Creative thinker with attention to detail and a passion for testing and optimizing digital experiences
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with ad management tools (LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Ads, Meta Business Suite)
- Familiarity with website analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot)
- Understanding of SaaS, smart buildings, or real estate technology sectors
- Previous internship or project experience in digital advertising, media buying, or performance marketing
