Technical Recruiter

Cohesion is a leading Intelligent Buildings software solution that is disrupting how buildings operate and how people engage with buildings – from real estate owners/investors, operators, building engineers, to tenants and visitors. Our cutting-edge converged IoT-enabled platform brings together building systems, building software, and business applications into a single portal for on web and mobile platforms to forge the path to autonomous buildings.

We are searching for an in-house recruiter to join our growing team. This role will report to the CEO alongside human resources and hiring managers. Recruitment efforts will be for all open positions but a specialization in technical recruitment is required.



What you’ll do


  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand the needs and roles to be filled

  • Perform salary benchmarking to position company to hire best in class

  • Assist with the development and revision of specifications and job descriptions for selected positions

  • Identify the most effective methods for recruiting and attracting candidates

  • Partner with Marketing to post and/or place ads in the most effective media for open positions

  • Identify appropriate candidates and assess their qualifications through resume review, interviews, and other forms of communication

  • Connect qualified candidates with hiring managers and facilitate the scheduling of interviews

  • Maintain contact with candidates to keep them apprised of the status of their application

  • Vet potential employees’ credentials

  • Partner with HR and hiring managers regarding salary negotiations with final candidates

  • Facilitate contacts by creating and maintaining a presence in the technical/industry community and marketplace

  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree, in related technical and/or human resources field preferred

  • 3+ years of related recruiting experience, with prior experience in technical roles a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Thorough understanding of technology, technical roles and technical skills

  • Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software


Desired Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting for startup companies

  • SHRM-CP/SCP or aPHR/PHR/SPHR certification a plus
