We are searching for a Technical Project Manager to join our rapidly growing team. This role will report to the Program Director. We are small and our people wear many hats; this role is no different. The Technical Project Manager is a blend of Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Release Manager, and Project Manager – a role that gets stuff done while helping to grow a world-class engineering team. The Technical Project Manager is responsible for coordinating technical teams, managing releases, coaching individuals and teams, and establishing and improving processes. The right candidate will enjoy a fast-paced environment, working through challenging problems, quickly establishing and maintaining structure, and efficiently delivering value to our customers.

What You'll Do
Whatever it takes: Day 1 is kind of a freebie because of onboarding, but from Day 2 on, what you will do is mostly whatever it takes to get stuff done. We have a ton of things going on, and what we need most out of this role is a person who finds the key things that are about to slip and keeps them from slipping so we all stay on track – without direction or specific guidance.
•Collaborate with Product Managers to develop release plans for features.
•Collaborate with various stakeholders to align technical designs with business strategy and goals.
•Track and monitor deployments required to release features.
•Remove blockers and coordinate dependencies associated with the release.
•Communicate, communicate, communicate – ensure common understanding of the release between development teams, Product, stakeholders, and management.
Team Level Coaching and Facilitation
•Work with multiple Agile teams to keep them accountable for their commitments.
•Stand up Agile teams and help them develop team playbook to incorporate artifacts such as Definition of Ready and Definition of Done.
•Facilitate, facilitate, facilitate – help where it is needed without becoming a crutch for the team.
•Shield teams from outside distractions while assisting in the removal of impediments.
•Assist teams in tracking progress using various tools such as burndown chart, velocity chart, control chart, and cumulative flow diagrams.
•Develop and facilitate team assessment and improvement plans.
•Guide teams in their Agile maturity journey.
•Develop, coordinate, own, and facilitate processes and practices to minimize and manage inter-team dependencies; ensure multiple teams can work as a cohesive whole to delivery company value.
•Establish, participate in, and facilitate Communities of Practice to discuss and share proven practices across the organization.
•Ensure a flow of communication between teams so that best practices are shared and teams do not block each other
•Champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Agile Solution Delivery.
•Coach others in developing and maintaining Agile best practices, processes, and mindset within their teams, with their stakeholders, and throughout the organization.
•Participate in the development and maintenance of the Agile maturity model for the organization and coach and facilitate team growth and performance through continuous improvement.
•Partner with Teams in their journey to Test Automation – DevOps.
•Coach leadership/enterprise in shifting to an Agile mindset - Build Self Managing and Self Organizing Teams.
•Minimum of 8 years of overall related experience.
•Bachelor’s level education; computer science, information technology, or related field preferred.
•Minimum of 3 years of experience leading development teams.
•Experience working in a global team.
•Leadership and influential skills including teamwork, facilitation, and ability to influence and negotiate.
•Certification in at least one of the following: Agile, Scrum, PMI, SAFe, or other project management
•Relevant industry experience.
•Early-stage startup experience.
